Zoom! Teeth Whitening is a great way to improve the appearance of your teeth. Whether done in the comfort of our practice or your home, this treatment can brighten your teeth up to eight shades lighter.

Take-home Zoom! Teeth Whitening

The take-home teeth whitening process has 3 steps (after consultation your initial consultation):

1. Dental impressions

After an initial consultation, you will need to have moulds of your teeth and bite taken. These moulds will then be made into teeth whitening trays.

2. Getting dental trays

Your next appointment we will give you your custom-made trays, the whitening gel and instructions. Take-home whitening is a slower process compared to in-office because the whitening gel is weaker.

3. Wearing your trays as prescribed

To get the best results, follow the instructions we give you. It can take as long as 2 weeks to achieve your desired results with take-home whitening.

In-office Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Having your teeth whitened in office only takes two appointments. The first appointment is your consultation where we assess your oral health and determine if teeth whitening is the best treatment for your teeth. We will take an impression of your teeth to provide an at home Zoom tray maintenance kit. This is a complimentary inclusion with the in-office package.

The second appointment is when you have your teeth whitened. The surface stain is first removed to allow the zoom peroxide to penetrate into the tooth. This procedure involves placing a dental appliance to protect your gums from the whitening gel. Then the whitening gel is applied to your teeth and a special blue light is applied to activate the gel. It works by oxidizing the yellow pigments in the teeth. This is done three times at 15-minute intervals. At the end of your teeth whitening treatment, you should notice your whiter, healthy-looking smile.

This process takes just over an hour, and after the treatment your teeth can be several shades lighter. This fast, effective whitening option can last for years. However, as time passes some further darkening is naturally expected. For maintenance of you new brilliant smile we suggest regular professional cleaning with the Airflow Master and occasional follow up use of the take home whitening gel.
